Do you have cooking experience and are looking for a fulfilling opportunity to work with adults with a learning disability and autistic adults? We are looking for an experienced cook to join our team as an Assistant Chef Tutor. This is a job with sociable working hours where you will work with a friendly team and help our students learn valuable skills in the kitchen while building confidence and employability skills. This role is a great development opportunity for an enthusiastic cook who is interested in supporting adults with a learning disability and autistic adults. The Assistant Chef Tutor will assist with preparing and cooking meals alongside our students and Chef Trainer for around 40 people. Share is a registered charity and a centre for training and wellbeing. We provide a range of programmes empowering adults with a learning disability, autistic adults, and adults with other support needs to live happier, healthier, and more independent lives.

Job Responsibility

  • Work with Chef Trainer to teach commercial catering skills to adults with learning disability and autistic adults while providing lunch for students
  • Assist with managing lunch delivery alongside Lunchtime Activities Leaders
  • Ensure catering project and canteen maintain excellent cleanliness and five-star Food Hygiene rating
  • Support students to achieve relevant qualifications and build portfolios
  • Facilitate catering projects when Chef Trainer is absent and lead delivery of catering project
