Job Responsibility

  • Reporting into the Category Manager
  • Be at the forefront of our development, sourcing and delivering consumer brands including our own wonderful brands
  • Help decide what products reach our in-store shelves
  • Get to know our customer favourites, analysing data and providing great sourcing recommendations to support our global consumer, and retail brand strategies
  • Be part of big projects with really high profile brands
  • Inspire the Brand Buying team, always put our customers at the heart of everything you do
  • Look out for new opportunities, and identify what we could be missing out on to set Boots apart from other retailers
  • Be an ambassador for our brands
  • Build really great relationships with our vendors and suppliers
  • Help our customers get the best products at a really great price
  • Use negotiation skills to help reduce our costs and seek out a global source for raw materials at the best possible price
  • Find great opportunities for our brands, working closely with the Brand Buying team, focussing on our financial targets and monitoring our progress

Requirements

  • Experience in either sourcing or buying, or supplier management, or negotiations skills from an FMCG or other business
  • Friendly personality
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel within the UK or internationally

  • Contribute to the delivery of customer promotions in store by setting up campaign offers such as 3 for 2, Half Price, on the Boots SAP system.
  • Working with other teams such as the marketing and pricing team to ensure set ups are right first time.
