An exciting opportunity to join our incredible Commercial team. Permanent opportunity based at Favona, Auckland.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist the Category Manager in executing category plans that are better for customers, simpler for stores and deliver against financial and non-financial targets
  • Run an effective promotional program that delivers against sales, profit and market share targets
  • Optimizing the promotional program through the frequency, depth, funding and phasing of promotions whilst ensuring we are providing market leading value for our customers
  • Utilize data and insights to ensure our promotional offers are customer led and deliver a ROI
  • Leveraging sales driving tactics for key customer offers (brochure, sales planning, event space etc.)
  • Negotiating with Suppliers on promotional investment and executions (aligning to KPI’s)
  • Collaboration with other team members and stakeholders e.g. Category Manager & Assistant, Marketing, Online, Replenishment, Promotions etc. to implement promotional activity effectively

Requirements:

  • Previous Assistant Category Manager experience preferred
  • Negotiation and influencing skills
  • Willingness to learn, collaborate with the wider team and adapt with changing conditions
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
