Job Description:

Assistant Category Manager position in Front Store Merchandising on the General Merchandising team at CVS Health, focusing on photo and digital memory businesses including financials, planning, products, equipment, and customer experience.

Job Responsibility:

Contribute directly to sales and margin goals
Maintain awareness of P&L and category trends
Assist in building category strategies for merchandising programs
Build strong relationships with suppliers
Drive tactical execution of day-to-day plan activities
Collaborate with internal CVS teams
Develop understanding of current competition
Research customer product preferences and market changes
Manage multiple projects and complex systems integrations

Requirements:

3+ years of experience in a CPG manufacturing company, retail organization, or in an analytical, merchandising, or buying position
3+ years of experience developing and executing plans, review data, consumer insights and identify business opportunities
3+ years of experience collaborating with cross functional team members, internally and with suppliers
3+ years of experience developing cohesive category strategies
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Nice to have:

P&L management experience
Strong working knowledge of retail math concepts
Strong leadership and storytelling abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proven ability to implement strategies and use negotiation tactics
Technical experience in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Office, Word
Access or other database knowledge
Master's degree
