Assistant Cashier

• Receipting and posting card and bank transfer payments onto the University finance system
• Processing web refunds and resolving posting corrections
• Supporting the Income Section inbox and hunt group telephone queries
• Assisting students and staff with payment-related queries at the counter
• Updating student finance records within SITS (SCC screens)
• Producing statements and supporting reconciliation activities
• Maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with university procedures

• Experience in a finance, cashiering, or high-volume transactional environment
• Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail
• Confidence in handling financial transactions and maintaining accurate records
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly with students and colleagues
• Ability to manage workload effectively in a busy operational setting
• Good IT skills, including experience of finance or student systems (desirable)
