Requirements

Experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity in the domiciliary care sector
NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care
Proven ability to effectively lead, delegate, and mentor staff
High level of organisational skills with the ability to produce staffing rotas and manage multiple responsibilities
Ability to work flexibly, including extended hours where necessary, and provide hands-on care during staff shortages
A valid driving license and access to a vehicle
Hold or willing to obtain work related car insurance
Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS clearance

Job Responsibility

Assist the Registered Care Manager with the day-to-day management and coordination of the branch
Maintain accurate records, produce reports, and investigate complaints from service users and employees
Maintain and grow the team by actively recruiting new care staff, guiding them through the recruitment process, and producing weekly staffing rotas
Actively seek new business opportunities and support the commercial growth of the branch
Stay informed about up-to-date operational issues and methods
Ensure compliance with health and safety, emergency regulations, and operational policies
Undertake out-of-office duties as necessary, including providing emergency hands-on care, undertaking on-call duties, attending social events when required, and offering emergency telephone assistance to care staff
Effectively liaise with other departments, employees, key stakeholders such as commissioners and customers, and the public at large
Perform other duties as requested

An NVQ / QCF Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or will be happy to work towards this qualification)
Experience in managing a team within a similar environment
Exceptional communication skills
Fully flexible across a 7-day rota system
Expected to work early/late shifts and alternate weekends as required

Job Responsibility

Manage a team of Care Assistants and ensure correct procedures are followed
Develop, implement and maintain individual care and support plans
Provide residents and relatives with an effective communication network
Ensure residents are encouraged to reach their optimum level of independence
Ensure all administrative systems are implemented effectively
