Job Responsibility:

  • Supports superior in planning and drafting purchase orders for sub-component purchases
  • Prepares and follows up on R&D purchase orders
  • Prepares purchase orders on the computer system and sends a copy to the supplier
  • Ensures that order levels are respected and that KANBANs are maintained
  • Follows up with suppliers to avoid delays in order delivery and communicates with them to find out the reasons
  • Follows up on incoming goods, verifications and problem-solving with suppliers
  • Establishes non-conformity return procedures with suppliers and authorizes non-conformities to be returned to the supplier
  • Informs superior of potential cost increases and/or supply problems
  • Supports third-party suppliers and performs full-cycle PO management and follow-ups
  • Also supports Enabling Technology in its shipping activities
  • Creates and updates items in Great Plains, as well as creating bill of materials (BOM) for the Canadian and U.S. subsidiaries
  • Performs inventory transfers and adjustments in the computer system
  • Participates in annual and monthly inventory counts
  • Produces expense report
  • Develops, maintains and periodically reviews departmental procedures, work instructions and quality records
  • Takes or proposes measures to improve departmental efficiency

Requirements:

  • DEC in administration or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in procurement
  • Bilingual
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of Great Plains
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Good management of priorities
  • Organized, methodical and rigorous in follow-up
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Determination and perseverance
  • Judgment
