Job Description

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Buyer to join our team. The Assistant Buyer will play a vital role in supporting the procurement process by managing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods and services. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

Job Responsibility

  • Purchase Order Management: Create, review, and process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner
  • Supplier Communication: Liaise with suppliers to confirm order details, negotiate terms, and address any discrepancies
  • Inventory Control: Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet organizational needs
  • Vendor Relationship: Cultivate positive relationships with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Documentation: Maintain organized and up-to-date records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements
  • Price Negotiation: Assist in negotiating prices and terms with suppliers to secure advantageous agreements
  • Cost Tracking: Monitor and report on purchasing costs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including logistics and finance, to ensure a seamless procurement process
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, or quality concerns
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within the purchasing function
