Job Description:

A multidisciplinary property consultancy is seeking an Assistant Building Surveyor to join its Birmingham team. The Building Surveyor will be part of a busy Building Surveying service line delivering advice across multiple sectors. This Building Surveyor role will cover both professional and project-based assignments, providing Building Surveying services for investors, occupiers, and landlords. The Building Surveyor will work on a variety of projects, from technical due diligence and condition surveys to refurbishment, alterations, and contract administration.

Job Responsibility:

Assisting with project management and contract administration
Preparation of specifications, schedules of condition, and technical documentation
Undertaking condition surveys, pre-acquisition surveys, and technical due diligence (TDD)
Managing dilapidations, refurbishments, repairs, and maintenance schemes
Working closely with clients, contractors, and design teams
Gaining exposure to a wide range of property types and sectors

Requirements:

A degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
Experience in professional services or project management, including surveys, contract administration, and reporting
Confident client-facing skills with the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
Good organisational and communication skills
