As an Assistant Building Surveyor, you will support senior surveyors across a diverse portfolio of projects within sectors including non-residential, education, commercial, emergency services and healthcare. You will gain hands-on exposure to a wide range of building surveying instructions, while progressively developing your technical capability and professional confidence within a supportive team environment. A key focus of the role will be involvement in energy efficiency and retrofit projects, contributing to wider sustainability and innovation objectives.
Job Responsibility:
Assisting with building surveys, condition reports and defect investigations
Supporting project delivery across refurbishment and improvement works
Contributing to energy efficiency, retrofit and sustainability-led initiatives
Assisting with report writing, data management and technical documentation
Supporting senior surveyors with client instructions from inception to completion
Attending site inspections, meetings and project reviews
Requirements:
Around 1–2 years’ post-graduate experience within a building surveying or consultancy environment
A strong interest in developing a long-term career in building surveying
A proactive approach to learning and professional development
Good written and verbal communication skills
An interest in sustainability, energy efficiency and retrofit work
The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
