Job Description:

Our client, a prominent name in the property sector, is looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join their team as an Assistant Building Manager at one of their flagship properties in Glasgow City Centre. In this front-facing role, you'll be based at the main reception desk, acting as the first point of contact for tenants. Your responsibilities will include managing day-to-day queries, coordinating with contractors, and overseeing maintenance requests to ensure the building runs smoothly and efficiently.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in the day-to-day management of the property
  • Liaise with contractors and oversee on-site activities
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and statutory legislation
  • Contribute to audit preparation and documentation
  • Maintain high standards of facilities management across all sites
  • Provide guidance to Surveyors where appropriate
  • Use computer applications such as Word, Excel, and database systems proficiently
  • Act as the first point of contact for tenants at main reception desk
  • Manage day-to-day queries
  • Coordinate with contractors
  • Oversee maintenance requests

Requirements:

  • Customer Service Excellence - Confident and professional when dealing with tenants, contractors, and visitors
  • Strong Communication - Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Organisation & Time Management - Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines
  • Problem Solving - Proactive in identifying issues and implementing practical solutions
  • Attention to Detail - Thorough in handling administrative tasks, documentation, and compliance checks
  • Team Collaboration - Works well within a team and supports colleagues to ensure smooth building operations
  • Health & Safety Awareness - Basic understanding of H&S procedures and willingness to develop knowledge further
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and database systems)
