Job Description

This is the number two job in the branch — and the natural step towards running one of your own. You'll be the Branch Manager's right hand: on the counter, on the floor, and stepping up to run the place when they're out. If you've got ambition and you graft, we'll grow you.

Job Responsibility

  • Drive the counter — serve the trade, quote fast, close the sale and hit the targets
  • Step up — run the branch confidently whenever the manager's away, holding the team and the standards together
  • Support the team — help train, motivate and get the best out of the counter, yard and drivers
  • Keep stock honest — availability, accuracy and a tidy, well-merchandised branch
  • Grow the trade — build relationships, spot the upsell, and bring lapsed customers back
  • Stay safe and sharp — H&S and housekeeping done right, every day

Requirements

  • Counter, sales or supervisory experience
  • plumbing/heating/merchant background is a big plus
