Job Description

Assistant Branch Manager at BSS Belfast, part of Travis Perkins plc. A permanent, full-time position. You'll support the Branch Manager with sales, profit targets, and branch operations including admin, stock management, transport. Customer service is central, driving sales and safety standards. The role offers Monday to Friday only, no weekends.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the Branch Manager in exceeding sales and profit targets
  • Coordinate all aspects of branch operations (admin, stock management, transport)
  • Drive sales and provide product solutions
  • Champion 'Stay Safe' culture and drive safety standards
  • Lead colleagues to achieve excellence
  • Drive daily sales activity and achieve targets
  • Ensure branch operations run smoothly including fleet of vehicles, tool hire, and integrated Benchmarx showroom
  • Drive standards across the branch and create fantastic customer relationships
  • Motivate and coach colleagues

Requirements

  • Relevant experience to motivate and develop teams to succeed
  • Strong people skills for building relationships and negotiating
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Champions a non-negotiable safety culture
  • Dedicated to exceptional customer service and high standards
  • Energetic team player focused on hitting goals
  • Relevant industry experience preferred but not required if a confident sales leader in a different customer-centric industry
