As Assistant Bars Manager, you'll play a key role in the successful delivery of bar operations across race days, hospitality events, and special occasions. You'll support stock management, operational planning, team leadership, and service delivery, ensuring every guest receives an exceptional experience. Working alongside the Head of Beverage, you'll help lead a high-performing team while developing the skills and experience required for future management opportunities within Levy.
Job Responsibility
Support the planning, setup, and delivery of bar operations across race days and events
Ensure all bars are fully prepared, stocked, and operationally ready before service
Assist in delivering smooth and efficient service during high-volume events
Maintain exceptional standards of presentation, cleanliness, and guest experience
Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery
Complete event-day and monthly stock takes, ensuring accurate inventory records
Place stock orders in line with operational requirements and event forecasts
Receive, check, and record stock deliveries, maintaining quality and accuracy
Support effective stock control procedures to minimise waste and maximise profitability
Assist with reporting and inventory analysis to support business performance
Lead, motivate, and support beverage team members during events and race days
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of new colleagues
Provide coaching and ongoing development to help team members reach their potential
Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture
Act as a role model for Levy's service and operational standards
Support the Head of Beverage with staffing plans and rota management
Ensure appropriate team coverage across all operational areas
Work collaboratively with operational and hospitality teams to deliver seamless events
Communicate effectively across departments to support successful event delivery
Ensure all operations comply with licensing regulations, food safety, and health & safety requirements
Promote responsible alcohol service at all times
Uphold company policies, procedures, and operational best practice
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the beverage operation
Requirements
Previous supervisory or management experience within bars, hospitality, beverage, or event operations
Strong organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
A proactive and hands-on approach to leadership
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Experience managing stock and inventory processes
The ability to motivate, develop, and inspire teams
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event days
A full Irish driving licence and access to your own vehicle (travel expenses provided)
