The Assistant Bar Manager supports the Bar Manager in overseeing bar operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, and maintaining compliance with company standards. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, and assisting with financial and administrative tasks while fostering a collaborative team environment.
Job Responsibility:
Answer guest questions regarding the origin, vintage, and style of various wines
Prepare drink orders according to specified recipes using measuring systems
Issue, open, and serve wine/champagne bottles professionally
Communicate last call at designated closing time and ensure smooth closing procedures
Check quality and quantity of all stock and supplies
requisition as needed
Perform bottle-for-bottle liquor restock and anticipate replenishment needs promptly
Secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas at all times
Count bank at end of shift, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, and secure bank
Obtain change required for expected business levels and maintain security of funds
Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, and motivating employees
Serve as a role model and ensure staff works together as a team to achieve service goals
Follow all company policies, safety, and security procedures
report accidents and unsafe conditions
Complete required safety training and certifications
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards

Requirements:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
At least 1 year of related work experience
Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
Move, lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 50 lbs without assistance
Navigate narrow spaces, stairs, ramps, and uneven surfaces safely
