Job Description:

The Assistant Bar Manager supports the Bar Manager in overseeing bar operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, and maintaining compliance with company standards. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, and assisting with financial and administrative tasks while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Answer guest questions regarding the origin, vintage, and style of various wines
  • Prepare drink orders according to specified recipes using measuring systems
  • Issue, open, and serve wine/champagne bottles professionally
  • Communicate last call at designated closing time and ensure smooth closing procedures
  • Check quality and quantity of all stock and supplies
  • requisition as needed
  • Perform bottle-for-bottle liquor restock and anticipate replenishment needs promptly
  • Secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas at all times
  • Count bank at end of shift, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, and secure bank
  • Obtain change required for expected business levels and maintain security of funds
  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, and motivating employees
  • Serve as a role model and ensure staff works together as a team to achieve service goals
  • Follow all company policies, safety, and security procedures
