We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Bar Manager-Sommelier to join our team at Kudu Marylebone. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional who is passionate about wine, cocktails, guest experience, and team development. Working closely with the Bar Manager and senior management team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service while helping drive the performance and culture of the bar.
Job Responsibility
Support the day-to-day operation of the bar
Deliver outstanding guest experiences through confident wine and beverage recommendations
Assist with wine service, staff training, and menu development
Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and presentation
Support stock control, ordering, and inventory management
Help manage labour, rotas, and team performance
Lead by example during busy services and inspire the team to perform at their best
Ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety, and company procedures.
Requirements
Previous experience in a premium restaurant
Strong wine knowledge
WSET qualification is essential
Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment
A positive attitude and willingness to develop both yourself and your team.
