Job Description

This full-time faculty position is on-campus and in-person for the developing entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) Program at Texas Christian University (TCU). The position is a 12-month faculty position as a Tenure-Track Assistant/Associate Professor or Assistant/Associate Professor of Professional Practice (non-tenure).

Job Responsibility

  • Advising and mentoring graduate students
  • Contributing to university and community service in alignment with institutional missions
  • Teaching within area of expertise supporting the developing entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) Program
  • For Tenure-Track: Maintaining an active research/scholarship agenda

Requirements

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as an occupational therapist in the State of Texas
  • Earned a Doctoral degree (OTD, PhD, EdD or equivalent)
  • Three years clinical experience preferred
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • For Tenure-Track: Ability to maintain an active research/scholarship agenda (including extramural funding) and teaching proficiency within area of expertise
  • For Professional Practice Track: Teaching proficiency within area of expertise

Nice to have

Advanced clinical credentialing/expertise (E.g., geriatrics, neuro-rehabilitation, hand therapy, etc.)

  • Advise students in fulfilling program, departmental, college, and university requirements
