We’re looking for an Assistant Asset Manager to join our client’s growing Operations & Asset Management team, supporting a portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy assets across the UK and Europe. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career professional looking to build a long-term career within renewable energy asset management. Our client operates as the asset management and delivery platform of a broader clean energy investment group focused on solar, BESS and onshore wind projects across Europe with a strong UK presence. Backed by institutional infrastructure capital, the wider platform has developed and managed multiple gigawatts of renewable energy assets and continues to expand through new acquisitions, development and long-term contracted projects. As Assistant Asset Manager, you’ll support the operational management and optimisation of renewable assets, working closely with internal teams, OEMs, O&M providers and external stakeholders. The role offers structured training and progression over a two-to-three-year period, providing exposure across technical operations, commercial asset management and stakeholder coordination.
Job Responsibility:
Support the operational management and optimisation of renewable energy assets
Monitor asset performance, identify underperformance and support corrective action plans
Review OEM and O&M provider reports, alarms and availability data
Assist with maintenance planning and operational reporting
Liaise with landowners, OEMs, O&M providers, planners and other key stakeholders
Support management of operational contracts and asset management agreements
Coordinate and participate in internal and external operational meetings
Produce technical and operational reports, including site inspections and performance analysis
Maintain and update asset management databases and reporting tools
Analyse operational data and present findings to the wider team
Attend operational sites across the UK as required
Support site inspections, audits and compliance activities
Promote strong HSQE standards across all operational activities
Requirements:
Degree qualified in Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related discipline
Strong interest in renewable energy, particularly wind, solar and BESS
Strong analytical, organisational and report-writing skills
Good IT capability, including Microsoft Office and willingness to learn bespoke systems
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Comfortable travelling to sites and working outdoors / at height when required
Full UK driving licence
