Assistant Asset Accountant

• Financial Reporting & Data Integrity: Deliver accurate monthly and annual financial reports by processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and investigating variances to ensure data reliability
• Asset Lifecycle Management: Oversee the asset registers, including tax data updates, physical stock counts, and impairment reviews to ensure accurate asset valuations
• Systems & Process Improvement: Develop and maintain financial systems and workpapers that support audit requirements while identifying opportunities to streamline business operations
• Governance & Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with legislation, accounting standards, internal controls, and policies to maintain transparency
• Strategic Advice & Communication: Translate complex financial concepts into plain language for the Executive Team and to facilitate informed asset management decisions
• Mentorship & Training: Provide technical guidance to the Tax Accountant and deliver systems training to internal clients to improve organizational financial literacy

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or Similar
• Proven knowledge and experience in Asset or Management Accounting
• Technology One system experience (Desirable)
