Job Description:

The town of Foxborough is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Assistant Assessor to join our Finance Team to support the daily operations of the Assessing department. This full-time position is responsible for administrative, record-keeping, and assessment support functions including processing deeds, tax billing, abatements, excise tax records, exemptions, database maintenance, budgeting support, and responding to public inquiries. The position also performs inspections, field work, and is responsible for generating reports and commitment documentation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the daily operations of the Assessing department
  • administrative, record-keeping, and assessment support functions including processing deeds, tax billing, abatements, excise tax records, exemptions, database maintenance, budgeting support, and responding to public inquiries
  • performs inspections, field work
  • generating reports and commitment documentation

Requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • four to five years of progressively responsible office experience
  • preference to candidates who have completed Course 101 provided by the Department of Revenue and Course 200 provided by MAAO
  • MUNIS experience is also preferred
  • strong organizational, communication, computer, and customer service skills are essential
