Job Responsibility:
Assisting with the valuation process
Clerical functions including billing and abatements for Real Estate, Motor Vehicle Excise, Boat Excise, Betterments, and Appellate Tax Board cases
Legal postings regarding the assessor division
Administering internal office procedures such as consistent classification and valuation of real properties
Clerical responsibilities for the Board of Assessor meetings
Training division clerical staff
Requirements:
Associate degree in business, finance or public administration
At least two years’ experience in a municipal assessing office
Expected to complete the Massachusetts Accredited Assessor courses within two years of hire
