The Assistant Assessing Administrator supports the Assessing department in the following: Will perform complex administrative and supervisory work in the operation of the Assessor’s department. Work includes coordinating and supervising employees, conducting research and resolving problems, assisting in the re-evaluation process, providing information and assistance to the public, other town departments, and professionals regarding department operations, and overseeing the daily operations of the department. Performs similar or related work as required, as directed, or as situation dictates.
Job Responsibility:

Assist in the re-evaluation process
Provide information and assistance to the public, other town departments, and professionals regarding department operations
Oversee the daily operations of the department
Perform similar or related work as required, as directed, or as situation dictates
Requirements:
Associate's degree in business, finance, or related field or equivalent, plus a minimum of three years' experience assessing or appraising real estate, or any equivalent combination
Excellent knowledge of CAMA, RRC, MUNIS systems
Knowledge of the DOR Gateway website
Knowledge of statutory policies and procedures, including familiarity with Massachusetts laws
Introduction to Assessment Administration 101 Course completion is mandatory
Massachusetts Certified Appraiser and/or Massachusetts Accredited Assessor (MAA) designation, or IAAO equivalent is preferred
Nice to have:
