Job Description:

Deputise for the area head and support the leadership and operational management of Hospitality. Assist in ensuring high standards of quality assurance across all programmes and actively promote excellence in teaching, learning and student outcomes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Undertake a teaching role within the hospitality
  • Assist with operational responsibility for all courses across hospitality
  • Manage staff and resources to ensure excellence in teaching, learning and assessment
  • Provide a lead on the quality of teaching, learning and assessment
  • Assist with preparing Curriculum and staff timetables
  • Ensure adequate cover for staff sickness and monitor cover arrangements
  • Assist with the monitoring of student behaviour, disciplinaries and pastoral support
  • Liaise with the Head of Area to ensure the effective deployment of staff and non-staff resources

Requirements:

  • Extensive teaching experience with in-depth pedagogy knowledge
  • Previous line management
  • Teaching qualification and extensive experience in FE
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Hospitality
