Job Description

We are seeking an Assistant Apparel Designer to support a fast-paced product and design team on a part-time, 3 month contract. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and hands-on experience in apparel submits, approvals, and production workflows. You will work closely with Technical Design and Product Management to ensure accuracy, quality, and timely execution across all submissions.

Job Responsibility

  • Review supplier submits in PLM, ensuring color, materials, and samples align with brand standards
  • QA and provide detailed comments on submits, flagging discrepancies and partnering with Product and Technical Design to move approvals forward
  • Work closely with a Technical Designer to align on specs, bill of materials updates, and supplier communications
  • Make light updates in Illustrator, including silhouette sketches, colorways, and assortment sheets
  • Track workflows and timelines in Asana while collaborating with Product Management to keep submissions on schedule

Requirements

  • Experience with apparel submits and approvals, including lightbox proficiency for fabric, color, and sample evaluation
  • Strong attention to detail with a QA and production-focused mindset
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator in an apparel setting

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with PLM systems
  • Experience supporting design and technical teams in a production environment
  • Ability to manage multiple submissions and deadlines with accuracy
