Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Assistant Administrator of Operations to provide 24/7 operational leadership and administrative oversight at Baptist Beaches in Jacksonville, Florida. This key leadership role is embedded within the Hospital Administration team and plays a critical role in supporting and driving all facets of hospital operations. We are looking for a collaborative and results-driven healthcare leader who thrives in a matrix environment and can effectively partner with executive leadership, clinical teams, and support services. The Assistant Administrator will play a critical role in implementing operational strategies, improving throughput, optimizing staffing effectiveness, and enhancing the overall patient experience.
Job Responsibility:
Provide 24/7 operational leadership and administrative oversight for assigned hospital services
Partner with executive leadership, physicians, and clinical leaders to execute strategic and operational initiatives
Ensure regulatory readiness, compliance, and adherence to accreditation standards
Lead daily hospital operations, including patient flow, throughput, and capacity management
Drive performance improvement initiatives focused on quality, safety, and patient experience
Support workforce planning, staffing optimization, and resource utilization
Serve as a liaison across departments to ensure alignment and effective communication
Lead within a matrix model, influencing cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration
Promote and embody the organization's Mission, Vision, and Values while inspiring followership
Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years of progressive healthcare operations or hospital leadership experience required
Experience in acute care hospital operations, throughput management, or administrative leadership preferred
Demonstrated ability to lead in a complex, matrixed healthcare environment required
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or related field required
Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field highly preferred
