Job Description:

Assistant Accounting Manager role at the Four Seasons Resort at The Red Sea, Saudi Arabia. The role involves supporting the Director of Finance in day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, team supervision, and ensuring compliance with policies and standards in a luxury resort environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the Director of Finance in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and income audit
  • Prepare, review, and reconcile monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with both internal policies and external regulations
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and management reports, providing insightful variance analysis and recommendations
  • Ensure all financial transactions are documented, recorded, and reported in accordance with Four Seasons policies and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Supervise, train, and mentor accounting team members, fostering an environment of learning, integrity, and collaboration
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors to support audit processes and implement recommended improvements
  • Monitor cash flow, banking activities, and credit management in coordination with the Director of Finance
  • Contribute to the optimization of financial processes through technology and innovative best practices
  • Assist other departments with financial queries, cost control, and inventory management
  • Uphold the highest level of confidentiality and ethical standards in all financial dealings

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred
  • Arabic Speaker, Local preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a luxury hotel or resort environment
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, hospitality financial operations, and relevant software (e.g., Oracle, Sun, Opera PMS)
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy under pressure
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication in English (verbal and written)
  • proficiency in Arabic is an advantage
  • High integrity, attention to detail, and a commitment to confidentiality
  • Flexible to work varied hours, including weekends or holidays as required
