Job Description:

The Assistant Accountant supports the Finance team in ensuring accurate financial reporting, efficient daily operations, and compliance with Marriott finance policies. This role is responsible for cash and bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and supporting DGRC with daily and month-end finance requirements. The Assistant Accountant will also assist with budget, forecast, and financial queries from operational leaders.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supports the Finance team in ensuring accurate financial reporting, efficient daily operations, and compliance with Marriott finance policies
  • Responsible for cash and bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and supporting DGRC with daily and month-end finance requirements
  • Assist with budget, forecast, and financial queries from operational leaders

Requirements:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 1–2 years of accounting/finance experience (hospitality experience advantageous)
  • Strong knowledge of reconciliations, AR processes, and financial reporting
  • Good understanding of budgeting and forecasting fundamentals
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and financial systems (Opera, PeopleSoft, or Marriott systems beneficial)
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
