Citadel Source are pleased to be working exclusively with a well-established manufacturing business based in Bristol, currently looking to appoint an Assistant Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop within a broad accounting role, offering exposure across management accounting, reporting, and process improvement within a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting the production of monthly management accounts
  • Completing daily bank reconciliations
  • Producing weekly and ad hoc financial reporting
  • Administering company credit cards and related processes
  • Conducting monthly control account reconciliations
  • Supporting overhead analysis and financial reporting
  • Assisting the wider finance team with month-end activities
  • Supporting accounts payable processes including invoice matching where required
  • Running reports and supporting financial data analysis
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements across finance operations
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function
  • Working collaboratively across teams to support wider business objectives

Requirements

  • Previous experience within an Assistant Accountant, Accounts Assistant, or similar finance role
  • Strong Excel skills
  • AAT qualified or studying (desirable but not essential)
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively to tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working across teams
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to suggest and support process improvements
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to develop within the role
