We are currently recruiting an Assistant Accountant for an insurance organisation, they have a close knit finance team based in the CBD. It's a fast paced, driven and collaborative environment, working in the finance division, where the colleagues are engaged, aware, friendly and value encouraging ideas. You will report to the Finance Manager.
Job Responsibility:
Repsonsible for supporting the transactional team with accounts payable and receivable tasks
Overall responsible for ensuring the accurate completion of the general ledger on a monthly basis
Responsible with the completion of the balance sheet and bank reconciliations on a weekly basis
Working closely with the team for budgeting, forecasting and month end reporting
Working closely with the team for EOM duties
Undertake ad hoc projects / duties as required to support the team
Requirements:
5+ year's experience in a similar or related role preferred
Relevant Accounting / Finance qualifications
Studying towards CA or CPA helpful
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to manage and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Ability to meet strict deadlines
Ability to use initiative and be proactive
Excellent time management skills
Strong work ethic, diligence, integrity
Detail-oriented and meticulous
Nice to have:
Studying towards CA or CPA helpful
