Job Description:

The Assistant Accountant role primarily involves recording accurate transactions, assisting in month-end processes, and providing reporting and support to stakeholders. The position offers an excellent learning opportunity across multiple areas of financial accounting, such as forecasting, budgeting, and local and global processes. The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for tasks such as P&L, Balance Sheet reporting, supplier reconciliations, sales reporting, and supporting the broader finance team. Job Responsibility:

  • Embrace teamwork within own department and across the business
  • Develop and build strong working relationships with colleagues across the LHH business
  • Live and promote values and mindsets of LHH business
  • Comply with the organization’s certified management systems
  • Month end P&L, Balance Sheet reporting and analysis
  • Key supplier reconciliations
  • Preparing accurate sales reporting
  • Support the finance team and broader business
  • Manage stakeholders
  • Adhere to group policies and controls

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualified in an accounting or business degree
  • Part qualified CA or CPA
  • Advanced Excel skills, proficient in Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience in MSD or similar accounting system is preferred but not necessary
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to interact with multiple financial systems across the organization
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to a fast-changing environment
  • Sound knowledge of organizational accounting procedures

Nice to have:

  • Experience in MSD or similar accounting system
  • Ability to communicate financial ideas to non-financial colleagues
