Job Responsibility:
Assisting in the preparation of accurate, timely and error free accounts
Preparation of weekly/fortnightly payroll
All accounts payable and receivable
Reconciliation of bank and credit cards
Preparation of IAS/BAS
Preparation of end of month journals
General admin assistance
Handle the receipt and processing of invoices from vendors and suppliers
Prepare payment batches based on approved invoices and payment schedules
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements in all accounts payable processes
Reconcile end-of-month accounts
Manage debt control using automated AR reminder systems
Call clients to organise payment plans
Raising customer invoices, claims, and statements
Reconcile and report on end-of-month debtor status
Handle staff timesheets and payroll
Prepare monthly forecasts
Respond to payroll queries related to timesheets
Ensure accurate and timely payment for all employees
Requirements:
Experience in accounts payable and receivable or similar role
Sound knowledge of Microsoft office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Experience with Xero, MYOB or payroll software highly regarded but not essential
Proficient with creditor processing and debt collection
Full and unlimited Australian working rights
Nice to have:
Relevant certificate, diploma or bachelor level qualification are desirable
