Job Description

The Asset Services Vice President is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the day to day operational execution of EMEA Asset Servicing processing. This position demands exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, and a proven ability to drive strategic process enhancements and transformative initiatives. The Vice President will lead and develop a functional area, overseeing data analysis, comprehensive reconciliation, precise transaction processing, and complex issue resolution across critical high-risk functions. The ideal candidate is a strategic visionary with an extensive track record in senior leadership, people management, risk management and cultivating high-value client relationships. This role will closely align with EMEA business hours.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide strategic leadership and functional oversight for teams responsible for the reconciliation and processing of positions related to Income and Corporate Action events
  • Establish and enforce robust frameworks to ensure the accurate, efficient, and timely execution of client entitlements, proactively identifying and mitigating systemic and operational risks
  • Direct the comprehensive reconciliation, processing, and payment facilitation for all income and mandatory corporate action events, ensuring stringent adherence to evolving global regulatory requirements and internal controls
  • Conduct sophisticated, in-depth analyses to identify the root causes of systemic operational issues, spearheading the development and implementation of enterprise-wide solutions
  • Serve as a champion for robust compliance, instilling unwavering adherence to established procedures and controls, proactively anticipating and responding to regulatory changes, and ensuring the continuous education of the organization
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and strategic direction to individuals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and leadership development

  • 13+ years of progressive experience in financial services operations, with extensive senior-level experience and deep expertise in Asset Servicing
  • Demonstrated strategic leadership, with a proven ability to manage large, complex functions, drive organizational change, and develop multi-disciplinary high-performing teams
  • Expert-level understanding of cash flows, accounting treatments, operational controls, market practices, and regulatory landscapes within a global context
  • Comprehensive knowledge of a wide array of investment instruments, including Equity and Fixed Income securities
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and executive decision-making skills, with a track record of implementing innovative solutions to complex challenges
  • Superior communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex information to diverse audiences, including executive leadership and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in advanced data analysis tools, large-scale operational platforms, and enterprise software
  • Profound understanding of relevant global regulatory frameworks, compliance requirements, and advanced risk management methodologies
  • Amenable to working EMEA business hours. Shift coverage: 1:00 PM IST to 10:00 PM IST
  • Bachelor’s/University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative field is required
  • Master's degree (MBA, MS in Finance, etc.) is highly preferred

  • Risk Analysis and Mitigation: Conduct comprehensive risk analysis specific to voluntary corporate actions, identifying nuanced and positional risks.   • Reconciliation and Exception Resolution: Perform daily reconciliations of voluntary corporate action positions and entitlements
