Job Description

The Asset Servicing Group Manager is a pivotal leadership role, overseeing a Corporate Action team responsible for the timely and accurate processing of corporate action events. The role involves comprehensive reconciliation, precise transaction processing, and complex issue resolution across critical, high-risk functions in a global financial services environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide strategic leadership and functional oversight for Corporate Action team
  • Manage, mentor and coach the team
  • Direct comprehensive reconciliation, processing, and payment facilitation for corporate action events
  • Conduct in-depth analyses to identify and resolve root causes of systemic operational issues
  • Champion robust compliance and adherence to established procedures
  • Proactively assess and manage business risks
  • Manage and report complex control issues to senior management
  • Cultivate and sustain strategic relationships with critical stakeholders

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in financial services operations
  • Extensive senior-level experience and deep expertise in Asset Servicing
  • Proven experience managing a team
  • Bachelor's/University degree in Finance, Accounting, or related quantitative field required
  • Master's degree (MBA, MS in Finance, etc.) highly preferred
  • Demonstrated strategic leadership with ability to manage large, complex functions
  • Expert-level understanding of cash flows, accounting treatments, operational controls
  • Comprehensive knowledge of investment instruments including Equity and Fixed Income securities
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills
  • Superior communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Fluent spoken and written English

  • Manage, track and mitigate risk incoming client responses, customer funding, claims processing, payment allocation and corporate action processing
  • Prepare weekly/monthly metrics on department’s performance including detailed analysis of any query turnaround times, aging, opportunities to manage self serviceable queries back to clients, and to build information packs to present back to clients
  • Perform causal analysis on processes to continuously identify gaps, improvements/system enhancements
  • Monitor MIS reporting relating to client queries, and will manage aging queries, escalating where required with internal teams to ensure quick resolution
