Job Description:

Reporting to the Executive General Manager – Business Unit, the Asset Services Manager leads 4–8 direct reports, including Regional Service Managers, Fleet Deployment, and Administration teams across Victoria, Tasmania, and South Australia. In this role you are accountable for delivering fleet performance outcomes through asset management activities, driving continuous improvement in fleet procurement, maintenance planning and delivery, to achieve greater return on investment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Leading a strong Safety-First culture across the Business Unit, in branch and workshop operations
  • Driving strategic asset improvement initiatives with Business Unit and Corporate teams
  • Developing multi-year fleet plans and guiding investment/divestment decisions
  • Monitoring fleet utilisation and ensuring effective deployment to maximise return on investment
  • Overseeing compliance with legislation and Coates asset management standards
  • Managing repairs and maintenance budgets and service operations to deliver top customer service
  • Optimising quality, productivity, and supplier performance against SLAs
  • Leading and engaging a high-performing team to drive continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Experience in asset management, including maintenance planning and scheduling in a fleet environment
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills
  • Solid knowledge of maintenance principles
  • Understanding of fixed asset registers
  • Familiarity with fleet management protocols and processes

Nice to have:

  • Understanding of Business Unit budgeting and financial management
  • Experience in hire or rental operations, or similar fleet-intensive industries

  • Coordinate Tax Statement Production: Main duty is to coordinate across different teams (IT and banking operations) to produce yearly and post-production tax statements. This includes ensuring smooth communication, clear organization and structure, monitoring progress, and facilitating the resolution of defects
  • Facilitate and Standardize Operations: Lead the harmonization and standardization of processes across global locations, ensuring efficiency and consistency in service delivery
  • Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for service management and client interactions within your division. Lead client collaboration initiatives, including meetings, workshops, site visits, and community events
  • Service Excellence & SLA Management: Establish, maintain, and regularly review Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure that service delivery consistently meets or surpasses client expectations.   • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Systematically collaborate with Service Managers, participate in cross-divisional meetings, and share KPI analysis and improvement initiatives. Support and drive global and cross-service projects, such as regulatory transitions, system enhancements, and client onboarding/migrations
  • Client Onboarding & Prospect Support: Support the onboarding of new clients and contribute to converting prospects into clients by collaborating with expert teams and participating in workshops, RFI/RFP processes, and solution reviews
