The Asset Protection Specialist has a thorough knowledge of KnitWell Group’s security and life safety procedures and is responsible for supporting the protection of our enterprise assets; which include associates, product and property. This individual must maintain company and departmental policy and procedural expertise and ongoing action readiness for incidents related to life safety and Asset Protection within the organization and provides detailed reporting to various staff and support departments.
Job Responsibility:
Checks associate ID badges to control facility egress and logs visitors/contractors. Greet, engage and assist associates, vendors and visitors upon registration
Maintains thorough knowledge of / and monitors facilities CCTV, fire/burglar, and access control systems
Answers and transfers internal/external phone calls as part of Front Desk procedures
Conducts daily (i.e. outbound/inbound audits, safety/security checklists, etc.) and monthly audits and facility inspections in distribution center and/or office locations
Responsible for initiating internal/external investigations based off daily inspections findings and/or information received from other sources/information
Secures facility during non-operational hours
Provides after-hour security service/surveillance (walk and/or monitor associates to their automobile, etc.) to associates in times of need
Responsible for creating incident/injury report and applying first aid in times of need
Build productive business relationships and demonstrate an understanding of each function
Make knowledgeable and informed decisions based on the departments P&P’s
Performs other duties or administrative functions as need by Asset Protection Management
Requirements:
At least 6 months experience in Asset Protection / Loss Prevention or security preferred
High School diploma or equivalent
Must be flexible to work any shift including weekends, and be on call 24/7, any day of the year
Self-motivated
must be able to work with little or no supervision during shift
Excellent organizational skills and effective written and verbal communication skills
First Aid, CPR, AED certification preferred (certification will be required during employment)
Possess basic Microsoft skills (i.e. Office, Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint)
