Job Description:

The responsibility of the Area Auditor of Asset Protection consists of conducting multiple store audits, internal/external investigations, apprehending suspects who commit shoplifting crimes and completing/submitting necessary reports in a timely manner. The Area Auditor maintains constant communication with store management and stores’ operations team working together to achieve common goals.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct multiple internal store compliance audits in the assigned area, such as Meat receiving, Grocery receiving, front end and Safety audits
  • Conduct internal and external investigations
  • Train new AP Detectives in the area of external theft apprehensions
  • Conduct external theft investigations including working undercover and apprehending suspects committing shoplifting
  • Complete incident reports and submit to corporate office
  • Provide training to store management and store team members as needed on loss prevention/Asset Protection initiatives

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in loss prevention preferably in a multi-store environment
  • Must be able to travel within assigned district
  • Must have a valid/current driver license to operate a motor vehicle
  • Must be able to submit and successfully pass a criminal background check
  • Must be at least 18
  • Local candidates only

Nice to have:

Preferred completion of Wicklander-Zulawski interview training, but not required
