Requirements
Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, or a related quantitative technical discipline
Strong experience in performance engineering, energy trading analytics, or optimisation analytics within utility-scale renewables, power generation, or BESS networks
Deep understanding of UK ancillary services, grid code compliance, and revenue performance metrics (including D* and QR/BR delivery performance)
Strong proficiency analysing large operational and market data sets (e.g., using Python, SQL, or specialised BI and asset performance platforms) to extract clear commercial insights
Solid familiarity with contractual frameworks and testing requirements for grid services and Capacity Market contracts
Nice to have
Experience operating at the interface between technical asset management and commercial power trading teams
Working knowledge of battery storage constraints, including state-of-charge (SoC) behaviours and system derates
IAM certification
