We are currently seeking Asset Management Lawyers to work with Axiom's top tier clients.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide legal support for Asset Management, focusing on equity funds, debt, real estate, infrastructure, and private credit
  • Advise on regulatory matters and distribution-related client issues
  • Participate in firm-wide legal initiatives and organizational transformation projects
  • Draft, review, and negotiate institutional account agreements, investment management contracts, and fund documentation
  • Update internal policies and procedures in line with regulatory developments
  • Deliver actionable legal advice to business partners and manage internal stakeholder relationships
  • Support product development and act as a product specialist for alternative funds

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice in Ontario
  • 6+ years practicing law, preferably within a financial institution, asset manager, or law firm with a strong investment management focus
  • Experience with institutional asset management and regulatory frameworks (OSC, CSA)
  • Experience with alternative asset classes such as real estate, infrastructure, and direct lending
  • Experience negotiating agreements in the asset management space

Nice to have:

Experience in Canadian and/or European markets is a plus
