We are looking for an Asset Integrity Engineer to join our Asset Management Consulting team located in Trinidad for a 6 month period. Our Asset Management Consulting team helps our clients to run their assets safely and cost effectively with a risk-based approach to integrity and maintenance planning. We operate in the oil and gas, chemical, petrochemical, renewables, and power generation sectors. This role will suit you if you have diverse technical expertise to perform integrity assessments and provide specialist advice and solutions to internal and external clients. This role can be a steppingstone to a more senior project management role.

Job Responsibility

  • Plan, implement and manage pressure systems integrity programs at client sites
  • Perform and/or manage engineering studies including Fitness For Service Assessments, Pipe Stress Analysis, Repair Plans, Finite Element Analysis, Computational Fluid Dynamics
  • Apply knowledge and experience in RBI implementation programs and other mechanical integrity programs
  • Use knowledge of APM systems (GE APM, PCMS, Visions, Meridium, RBMI, AllAssets and others) to help set-up RBI and MI programs with a team of other engineers
  • Facilitate and support data collection, organization, and implementation efforts
  • Perform assessments, provide specialist advice/solution and training to internal/external clients
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards
  • Visit client sites and perform on-site inspection review and data collection work when necessary
  • Communicate effectively with internal/external clients as appropriate
  • Give technical guidance to other employees as appropriate and disseminate information to achieve effective knowledge transfer and application
  • Assess and recommend scope, cost, time and resources of the work to be undertaken for internal and external client meetings, contractual/project requirements
  • Discuss and present the deliverables with internal/external clients and be able to suggest alternative solutions where appropriate
  • Contribute to internal/external client management as appropriate by acting as a point of contact to effectively manage client and Vysus relationships
  • Support business development activities as and when required, including sharing industry contacts, assisting with proposal preparation/cost estimations, conference participation, etc.
  • Visit client sites based on project needs

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or other suitable discipline
  • Sufficient relevant previous working experience to demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the role requirements
  • Relevant specialist requirements, knowledge, and application
  • At least 3-6 years' relevant working experience
  • Experience with mechanical integrity software such as GE APM, PCMS and/or AllAssets
  • Experience with risk-based inspection (RBI) programs
  • Knowledge of Fitness For Service process
  • Knowledge of NDT techniques, applications, and experience in inspection of pressure systems
  • Knowledge of Repair requirements: National Board, PCC-2, API 510
  • Experience with P&IDs, PFDs, HMBs and inspection isometrics
  • Effective communication skills
  • Analytical aptitude with a good attention to detail
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
  • A willingness to partake in adopting new technologies, work processes and applications
  • Adaptability and have good organizational skills with a practical-minded approach and the ability to work to tight deadlines

Nice to have

  • One or more API certification is preferable i.e., 580, 510, 570, 653, etc. and familiarity with industry standards
  • Knowledge of CAD, FEA software would be an asset
