Job Description

Accuflex is seeking experienced Paralegals with asset finance, banking or structured finance experience to join our pool of high-calibre legal professionals for currently available and upcoming placements in London. Our clients include US and international law firms, banks, asset managers, private equity firms, funds, fintechs and other regulated financial institutions. Placements vary depending on client need and may be based within private practice or in-house legal teams. This is an excellent opportunity for paralegals looking to gain exposure to high-value, complex finance transactions across a range of legal environments.

Job Responsibility

  • Supporting asset finance and banking transactions, including leasing, secured lending and structured finance matters (e.g. aviation, shipping, rail or equipment finance)
  • Reviewing, drafting and amending core transaction documentation, including facility agreements, security documents, leases, NDAs, side letters and ancillary documents
  • Managing end-to-end conditions precedent and conditions subsequent processes, including preparing and maintaining CP/CS checklists and coordinating satisfaction and sign-off
  • Assisting with due diligence on borrowers, guarantors and asset portfolios, identifying key issues and preparing concise summaries for fee-earners
  • Coordinating execution, signing and closing processes, including signatures, notarisation, filings, registrations and post-completion deliverables
  • Maintaining transaction bibles, trackers and document management systems to ensure accurate record-keeping across matters
  • Liaising closely with lawyers, clients, counterparties, lenders and internal stakeholders to progress transactions efficiently
  • Supporting cross-border and multi-jurisdictional transactions, including working with international counsel
  • Conducting legal research and preparing internal notes, templates, issues lists or drafting mark-ups to support commercial negotiations
  • Assisting with regulatory, compliance, onboarding and KYC-related requirements in line with internal policies and jurisdiction-specific rules

Requirements

  • Prior paralegal experience in private practice or in-house, supporting transactional matters
  • Experience within financial services, ideally asset finance, banking, structured finance or secured lending
  • Strong transactional support skills, including document management, CP/CS processes and closing mechanics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with multiple stakeholders
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple workstreams and competing deadlines
  • Experience gained at a US or international law firm or within a financial services organisation
  • Exposure to asset-backed financing structures (aviation, shipping, rail or equipment)
  • Experience supporting cross-border or multi-jurisdictional transactions
  • Familiarity with finance documentation used in UK and international markets
  • Additional European language skills are advantageous but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail and sound commercial awareness
  • Confident, professional and pragmatic communicator
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, transaction-driven environments
  • Proactive, adaptable and collaborative in approach
  • Keen to further develop expertise in asset finance and banking work
