Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Assessment & Examinations Support Assistant to support the preparation, secure delivery, and administration of formal university assessments and examinations. This is a fast-paced, temporary role suited to someone who can remain calm, professional, and accurate under pressure, ensuring all assessments are delivered in full compliance with University regulations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Digital Assessment Preparation: Accurately set up assessments within online exam platforms
  • Upload exam papers and supporting materials in line with secure procedures
  • Conduct pre-exam checks to ensure systems, content, and timings are correct
  • Exam Delivery & Invigilation: Support on-site examinations by preparing rooms and materials
  • Check student identification and deliver clear exam instructions
  • Monitor exam sessions to maintain academic integrity
  • Accurately record attendance, timings, and any incidents
  • Administrative Support: Respond promptly and professionally to assessment-related queries from staff and students
  • Maintain accurate digital and paper records
  • Assist with exam timetabling, room bookings, and logistical coordination
  • Compliance & Collaboration: Liaise with academic and professional services teams to confirm requirements
  • Adhere strictly to University policies, confidentiality standards, and data-protection procedures

Requirements:

  • Excellent administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work calmly and professionally in time-critical, high-pressure environments
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to provide clear instructions
  • Competence using digital platforms, Microsoft Office, and data-entry systems
  • Proven ability to follow strict procedures and handle confidential information
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or last-minute examination requirements

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience as an Exam Invigilator or within a university or educational assessment environment
  • Knowledge of academic regulations or experience using digital assessment or learning platforms

  • Prepare exam rooms for patient exams, ensuring that exam rooms are neat, clean, well-stocked and properly prepared
  • Collect urine, blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens, log the specimens, and prepare them for testing
  • Operate electrocardiogram (EKG) or other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests
  • Prepare and administer medications and vaccines as directed by the provider with appropriate written orders
  • Provide education to patients regarding treatment procedures, medications, diets, providers’ instructions and preparation necessary for diagnostic tests, x-rays and laboratory examinations
  • Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies
  • Perform and document point-of-care equipment testing daily before beginning patient care
