The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling the entire product or component ensuring customer requirements are met and in accordance with established processes and procedures.
Job Responsibility:
Assemble hardware working from Work Orders, Sales Orders, Assembly Instructions, Mechanical Drawings, and/or parts lists
Verify product/assembly conformance as a part of the assembly process
Perform simple rework for defective/nonconforming material, as needed
Perform basic inventory tasks such as regular cycle counts and pick assembly kits
Assemble AIM kits
Maintain a clean, safe work environment
Perform simple facility maintenance, as needed, reporting more serious issues to Management
Participate in cross training within the department to provide support with service order processing, shipping and receiving support, and pulling kits
Engage in process improvements using 5S, Lean Manufacturing and PDCA (Plan Do Check Act) methodologies
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
Requires a consistent and dependable work history, ideally reflecting 3-5 years of tenure with each previous employer
Experience with common tools (assorted drivers, wrenches, etc.)
Strong attention to detail
Solder experience, a plus
Facility maintenance experience, a plus
Previous manufacturing/electronics experience, a plus
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to collaborate effectively within the department and across other teams
