Job Description:

The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling the entire product or component ensuring customer requirements are met and in accordance with established processes and procedures.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assemble hardware working from Work Orders, Sales Orders, Assembly Instructions, Mechanical Drawings, and/or parts lists
  • Verify product/assembly conformance as a part of the assembly process
  • Perform simple rework for defective/nonconforming material, as needed
  • Perform basic inventory tasks such as regular cycle counts and pick assembly kits
  • Assemble AIM kits
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment
  • Perform simple facility maintenance, as needed, reporting more serious issues to Management
  • Participate in cross training within the department to provide support with service order processing, shipping and receiving support, and pulling kits
  • Engage in process improvements using 5S, Lean Manufacturing and PDCA (Plan Do Check Act) methodologies
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Requires a consistent and dependable work history, ideally reflecting 3-5 years of tenure with each previous employer
  • Experience with common tools (assorted drivers, wrenches, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Solder experience, a plus
  • Facility maintenance experience, a plus
  • Previous manufacturing/electronics experience, a plus
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to collaborate effectively within the department and across other teams

Nice to have:

  • Solder experience
  • Facility maintenance experience
  • Previous manufacturing/electronics experience
