Requirements:
Be a student or recent graduate of a Boeing Pre-Employment Training (BPET) academic course or Military Career Skills Programs that is certified for the BPET Assembly Structures Mechanic role
Applicants must have a valid BPET Endorsement Form
Must have the ability to work variable shifts (first, second, or third) based on business needs
Ability to meet physical demands of the role such as flexion and extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching overhead, rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking, climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting)
Ability to lift/carry up to 10-35 pounds
Ability to work with high-hazard chemicals using proper protective equipment provided
Ability to complete and maintain Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications, as required
Experience using software applications such as internet navigation, email, Microsoft Office Suite, and/or other specialized computer applications
Experience following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, along with successful completion of training and knowledge assessments involving mathematical calculations, all conducted in English
Experience in a manufacturing, technical, or mechanical field, including equivalent military experience, performing work with basic hand, power, and/or pneumatic (air) tools
Must successfully complete the new hire foundational training to obtain and maintain all required certifications
Proficient use of a computer in a dynamic production environment
Look up/read/comprehend electronic technical work instructions, drawings and/or specifications
Wear appropriate protective clothing/equipment determined by the task performed
Operate various mechanical lifts (e.g. ladders, tiger and snorkel lifts)
Use various hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as screwdrivers, ratchets, power screwdriver multi meters, continuity testers
Apply chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints and special finishes
Inspect your work quality and check for Foreign Object Debris
Work around energized sources (electrical equipment and hazards/shock, e.g. circuit breakers and wiring) and exposure to constant noise
