Your BPET Instructor Endorsement Form will outline the specific roles for which your course qualifies you for a direct offer of employment. Job Responsibility:
Adhering strictly to all safety protocols and guidelines
Maintaining rigorous quality standards in all deliverables
Identifying work locations on advanced airplanes, parts, and tooling by interpreting intricate drawings to accurately complete detailed work instructions
Identifying all necessary hand tools, parts, and equipment required to ensure defect-free work
Requirements:
Be a student or recent graduate of a Boeing Pre-Employment Training course that is certified for the BPET Assembly Structures Mechanic role
Ability to work a variable shift
Ability to meet physical demands of the role such as flexion and extension, handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching overhead, rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking, climbing/balancing, crawling, crouching
Ability to lift/carry up to 10-35 pounds
Ability to work with high-hazard chemicals
Ability to complete and maintain Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications
Experience using software applications such as internet navigation, email, Microsoft Office Suite, and/or other specialized computer applications
Experience following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English
Experience applying mathematical calculations
Experience in a technical, or mechanical field performing work with basic hand, power, and/or pneumatic (air) tools
Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or assembly processes and procedures
Must successfully complete the new hire foundational training to obtain and maintain all required certifications
Proficient use of a computer in a dynamic production environment
Look up/read/comprehend electronic technical work instructions, drawings and/or specifications
Wear appropriate protective clothing/equipment determined by the task performed
Operate various mechanical lifts
Use various hand tools and diagnostic equipment
Apply chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints and special finishes
Inspect your work quality and check for Foreign Object Debris
Work around energized sources and exposure to constant noise
Finger manipulation
Lifting and carrying up to 10-35 pounds
Climbing/balancing, crawling, crouching
