Assembly operative

• Assembling axles and transmissions
• Working from standard work instructions to produce components
• Performing routine functionality tests and analysing malfunctions and making repairs
• Assist in the calibration and repair of measuring equipment and input data into pre-developed databases for record collection analysis and reporting
• Compliance with safety and quality standards
• Compliance with 5S programme and other business improvement initiatives
• Any other appropriate duties

• Previous experience in a similar environment
• The ability to follow and comprehend verbal, specific and detailed procedures and work instructions
• The ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations in order to perform the duties of the position
• The ability to use hand tools, power tools, checking or testing equipment and to be able to read and interpret drawings - preferred
• Working at heights may be necessary
• Reasonable level of computer literacy where required
