Job Description

As an Assembly Mechanic Trainee, you’ll play a hands-on role supporting our Tank Cleaning Production Department. This position is essential in helping us deliver high-quality new tank cleaning equipment and repair services. You’ll learn and grow as part of a collaborative team while contributing to both new product assembly and repair operations.

Job Responsibility

  • Disassemble and clean incoming equipment for repairs
  • Inspect and replace worn parts as needed
  • Document repair work and complete required reports
  • Assemble and test new tank cleaning machines according to product standards
  • Conduct performance tests on repaired and new units
  • Package and prepare equipment and spare parts for shipping
  • Assist with inventory by picking and stocking parts
  • Follow production work orders and meet productivity targets
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop environment, including routine cleaning tasks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn
  • Previous experience requiring a mechanical skillset, such as small engine repair or assembly is highly preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with hand tools (ex: ratchets, socket wrenches, screw drivers etc.)
  • Forklift experience is a plus
  • Basic computer skills for completing reports and documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
