The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Phantom Works team is seeking Assembly Manufacturing Engineers located in Berkeley, MO. Position Overview: We are looking for Assembly Manufacturing Engineers, with expertise in airplane manufacturing, production readiness, and delivery center flyaway operations. You will collaborate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines, ensuring efficient manufacturing processes that meet stringent quality standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes, plans, and tooling methodologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement manufacturing processes for airplane assembly
  • Ensure production readiness by identifying and mitigating risks, optimizing workflows, and enhancing operational efficiency
  • Support delivery center operations by streamlining processes, improving quality, and ensuring timely delivery of products to our customers
  • Utilize data analysis and engineering principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on manufacturability and assembly considerations
  • Maintain a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction throughout all manufacturing processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 2+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors Degree OR an equivalent combination of work-related experience and technical education
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment
  • Ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only

Nice to have:

  • (Level 3) 5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors Degree OR an equivalent combination of work-related experience and technical education
  • Experience supporting stabilization and improvement efforts in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience supporting defense and/or aerospace customers
  • Experience with 3D model based instruction
