Requirements

Proven mechanical assembly and/or test skills
Knowledge of hydraulic systems and quality control processes
Confidence using standard measurement tools
Intermediate computer literacy – especially MS Office
A self-motivated attitude with strong organisational skills
GCSEs in Maths & English (Grade C or above)
Ideally, a time-served apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience

Job Responsibility

Mechanical and hydraulic assembly and/or end-of-line testing of components
Using measurement tools like verniers and micrometers for precision inspection
Supporting quality investigations and contributing to continuous improvement projects
Navigating basic systems and structured processes effectively
Managing time and tasks to meet tight deadlines
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment in line with company standards

Job Responsibility

The manufacture of main and sub assemblies (Non-jig controlled and jig controlled) from detail parts using appropriate assembly techniques, tools and fixtures
To read and understand processes and procedures to meet all required quality standards
The production of 1st off Production Units
Work on Mechanical Assemblies

Requirements

Experience of using hand tools
Previous work experience in a fitter/assembly operator role
Must be comfortable working at heights and within confined spaces
Must pass pre-employment medical before going on site
Must pass BPSS clearance
Must have completed an apprenticeship within an engineering discipline (i.e: sheet metal worker, aircraft or maintenance technician, tool maker, fitter/turner)
Must hold NVQ L2 + L3 or equivalent in engineering
