Job Description

Join the leader in paper converting and become a member of the Valmet team as an Assembly and Process Technician! Apply your expertise as an Assembly and Process Technician in our Valmet Tissue Converting Team out of our Green Bay, WI office. We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled assembler to support tissue production and converting equipment. This position will work with Production Manager and lead technicians to assemble and test machines as required to meet production schedules. Job Responsibility

  • Work with a team to assemble and test converting and packaging machines/lines
  • Perform internal and customer check-outs, matching machine performance to contract specifications
  • Document and complete punch-list items prior to shipment
  • Document changes in machine BOM’s and manufacturing errors
  • Identify and maintain a safe work environment respecting 5S principle
  • Participate in Continuous improvement project teams
  • Support the team in organization of material for machine assembly
  • Maintenance of tools and fixtures for shop and office

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or technical diploma, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Hands-on experience with tissue production and/or converting equipment preferred
  • Ability to work with bill of materials as well as understanding of technical drawings and schematics
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and explain complex systems and processes
  • Basic operation of hand and machine tools (mill, lathe, press, tap)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset for working with cross-functional teams and customers
