Job Description

Shift: Monday- Friday 3:30pm to 12:00AM. Occasional overtime during the week and weekends. The purpose of this position is to assemble quality endoscope imaging systems while adhering to prescribed standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Assemble quality endoscope imaging systems while adhering to prescribed standards
  • Perform moderately difficult assembles of various intricate optical and mechanical components
  • Perform cleaning and inspection of various components using hand tools and ultrasonic baths
  • Load/unload ovens
  • Follow prescribed assembly techniques and within assigned time standards to produce quality endoscope sub assemblies while meeting productivity guidelines
  • Perform five or more tasks efficiently of the following: all functions of an Assembler II as well as final assembly, Inspection, count inventory, fill in for manufacturing coordinator, DTA training, DHA training, lead safety huddles

  • Cross train in other value stream assemblies as needed
  • Understand the process flow on assigned tasks (suppliers/customers) and the impact of their decisions

  • Properly complete all required production documents
  • Clean and maintain personal and general work areas
  • Maintain Training Certification in a variety of tasks within the Imaging Team

Requirements

  • High school diploma, or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years of experience assembling miniature precision medical products preferred
  • Substantial understanding of imaging assembly, or proficient with multiple moderately complete imaging assemblies
  • Ability to understand assembly drawings and written assembly procedures
  • Ability to operate moderately complicated machinery
  • Ability to meet takt time and quality standards
  • Ability to work with adhesives, solvents, microscopes, small hand and power tools, measurement devices and other related tools and equipment
  • Ability to work well with coworkers
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed
  • Must be punctual, able to sustain attendance guidelines, and work hours as assigned
  • Good manual dexterity and eye hand coordination
  • Keen vision and the ability to pay close attention to details
  • Ability to perform detailed assembly work with a microscope for extended periods
  • Must be able to climb stairs
  • Must be able to work in a Class 1000 cleanroom environment, including full cleanroom garb
